"Give a thought to attending the 2011 RBWH Foundation Ball.  I attended last year and found it to be a great event, well run with ample opportunities for myself and my guests to mingle and network with other like-minded supporters of Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital Foundation.  I look forward to seeing you there."

"There is nothing that quite comes close to the experience you go through when someone that you love is going through a very difficult period in their life, especially around their health. This has been the case for me with my wife dealing with serious long term pain, so when I was approached by Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital Foundation to be a guest speaker at their annual charity gala, Right Royal Affair, it was the least I could do to say thank you to the team in their amazing pain clinic located at RBWH.

Not only was it a moving experience for me to speak on stage in front of over 600 supporters of RBWH Foundation and share in our experience, but it reminded me of the care and dedication of our doctors, nurses and researchers based at RBWH.

It was actually a really memorable night of entertainment, especially with the Royal Russian theme, great food, lots of exciting and professionally run fund raising and most of all, a chance to be part of raising over $160,000 for life saving research.

Congratulations to the team that put together the 2010 Right Royal Affair, it was a stand out charity event."

"I attended a number of functions at this time of year and RBWH was one of the best. The entertainment was exceptional and varied  - the night was fast moving and was not overpowered by fund raising. We and our guests had a truly enjoyable evening."

"Westpac Brisbane City Region staff had the delight of attending the 2010 Right Royal Affair both in a guest but also volunteer capacity.

There was a mix of age groups, and for some young ones, it was the first time they've ever had the opportunity to frock or suit up and go to such a premier event and with a charity that we as a group are so passionate about.

Asking staff to volunteer after hours can sometimes prove difficult to obtain solid numbers, but it was such a fabulous night out, we already have staff asking if they can attend this year, and  in the days after last year's event, the waiting list of volunteers started.

Just look for the red Westpac aprons this year, we'll be there!"
